disappointed with my score here!

You Scored 65% Correct

You are a solid child of the 80s
You'd never confuse Tiffany from Debbie
And while you may not know Prince's first #1 hit
You know every word to Little Red Corvette

i need to study harder.

  • ack; only a 70 here... man, I thought I was better than that....I think all those exact year ones threw me off....

it's interesting how a lot of songs we associate we/ the 80s werent'..the one question w/ Wilson Phillips, Fine Young Cannibals, etc...many were SINGLES in 89 but albums came out in 90, so that's tough.

Unless you associate the song with "Oh, that was that one year I went to the 9th grade dance and threw up on Debbie Kleinsdale" it's tough to get the year.

Hey, 'ill try to add you as a link on my blog, 'k?

  • thanks dr. nate! yeah, i remember taking the quiz and thinking that about the wilson phillips thing, too. i thought i might have been off, as there have been numerous times where i hear a song thinking it was from one time and someone tells me, "no, that song came out like, five years/waaay before that, what's wrong with you?" it's happened to me on occasion with some van halen singles (i'm mostly thrown off by the sammy hagar years), i thought it was happening again with wilson phillips!!!

i almost threw up on someone in the eighth grade. maxi priest's "i just wanna be close to you" was playing at that dance. luckily i made it to the bathroom, but that song still holds potent memories for me.
